NADA is an acronym that stands for National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. The NADA protocol was initially used and developed in substance abuse treatment settings in conjunction with other modalities of treatment. It consists of the insertion of 5 sterilized needles in the outer ear. The following points are (as pictured to the right):
